Interesting, though you could do this same article from New York, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, and perhaps a few

other places and come up with a more equal comparison.

The author also says:

There are no trains for the non-commuting public, no trains for the tourist, no trains to get into Seattle, no trains on the weekend.
First, I'm not sure what he means by "there are no trains to get into Seattle" since he just got done telling us there are 4 trains a day into Seattle.

And while it's true that there are no other rail options from Mulkiteo, he conveniently chose the only station on the northern Sound Transit line that is not served by Amtrak. Amtrak certainly serves non-commuters and tourists in Edmonds and Everett, including those who want to travel on the weekend.

But yeah, agreed with his general point that the Seattle area is a bit short in the commuter rail department.
