The normal consist that I have seen in videos recently, barring any equipment going to or coming from Beech Grove, is Locomotive, Coach, Coach, Cafe, Sleeper, Baggage/Dorm.

As for any given day, there may be changes to the consist for demand (IF Amtrak MANAGEMENT had any sense at all).

Per my dictated notes on #50 en route to Charlottesville April 17, the SCA advised me our consist was 2 locos, 3 coaches, café car, 2 sleepers (1 reserved for crew), baggage car.

As indicated in another thread: Viewliner II Bag-Dorm roomettes roomettes are now available in the bag-dorm car. I snagged one for a July trip.

Yes, there is normally a cafe car that is available for coach passengers. When I last traveled, the cafe/diner car was shared with sleeper passengers and, if I remember correctly, it was not available at certain times.
