On the Lakeshore Boston sections the sleeper should be at the front of the train behind the baggage car. It is a long walk to the dining car. On train 3, car 0331, which I got off last night in Flagstaff from Chicago, is the third car from the front, behind baggage car and Transdorm car, with sleeper 0330 behind it, followed by dining car, then lounge, then coaches.

I think on 422 it varies. When I ride it, it was the second car behind Transdorm sleeper.

Me personally I could care less.. I need the exercise.. But others can't walk that far.
