Contra Costa: Fire near train tracks burns barn

Firefighters quickly contained a blaze Thursday that burned a barn and 4 acres of brush after it sparked near railroad tracks in the unincorporated Contra Costa County community of Knightsen, emergency dispatchers said. 

Three fire agencies responded to the blaze near Knightsen Avenue and Eden Plains Road after witnesses reported it at 1:38 p.m., the dispatchers said.

Speculation is that the fire may have been caused by a passing BNSF train.
