This Amtrak Crew District Map is more than 10 years old but should provide a somewhat accurate look at all Amtrak routes, not just the Sunset Limited.

From what I recall it goes something like this- there very well may be changes. In 2002 the conductor at New Orleans told me he went to Houston. I believe that has changed to Beaumont. Engineer change at Lafayette. Then it would be Beaumont- Houston ( not sure ) then the next crew to San Antonio. The next train crew goes to Alpine, with an engineer change at Del Rio. Next is Alpine to El Paso, then next crew to Maricopa, last crewMaricopa to LA. Not saying this is 100% correct, but it is something like this.
