Not sure this belongs here, as this is a brouhaha CSX is embroiled in, for further despoiling the Nolichucky River Gorge that hurricane Helene did a number on. But - I'm wondering if this could cause further trouble for Amtrak, by association, as Amtrak uses CSX lines. Since CSX is deprived of this particular rail line thru the mountains, might CSX use alternate routes that would further erode passage of Amtrak trains? Mods move this if necessary.
