CTA Red Line Construction

My family and I will be going to Chicago end of June/begining of July. I just read that the Red line has a large portion being shut down south of town for the next 4-6 months.

Looking at my schedule, it looks like the only real effect on us will be going to a White Sox game. We will simply have to walk a bit further from the green line station.

Anyone know of anything we need to avoid or be aware of with this construction?

Both Red and Green line trains will be using the Green Line south of Roosevelt Road during the construction process. The Green Line 35th Street station is a few blocks further east of U.S. Cellular Field than the Red Line station.

I've done the walk between the Green Line station and the ballpark. No biggie. Less than a half-mile:
