Detroit considering purchase of mothballed Toronto trains

The city of Detroit is looking at purchasing rolling stock and other assets of Toronto's recently decommissioned Scarborough Rapid Transit line:

They should buy all 20 trains and as many parts as they can as the 2 systems are compatible.
The cars just got a rebuild in the late 2010s and so they'll be in much better shape than the existing 35 year old cars.

A win - win for both TTC and Detroit. Start by leasing one set and running it over the Detroit system to find any problems!
