Im up for a job as an onboard Train Attendant.. Any other Amtrak employees on here that wouldn't mind answering a few questions about what its like working for good ol Amtrak..

1. What do the benefits consist of (Medical, Dental, sick pay, Vacation, Travel)

2. What is the average pay that a Train attendant makes?

3. What is a typical shift consist of for this position?

so did u get the job? if u did ...congrats! but back to your question... you traininng starts at 14.00

and some change. you be working the extra board and most training consist of 3 weeks . you be also train to work as waiter in the diner. you gets benefits start right away and union dues are at 75 dollasrs but it going 2 change next year. if you wanna know more then just ask. by the way what crew base will u be working out of .
