Thanks for approving me as a member of the forum. You can read about me in my profile. (That’s my idea of brief. Sorry. ). But in a nutshell, grew up on the Philadelphia Main Line, rode PRR back and forth to Pittsburgh with my mother many times. It was generally not a good experience. I liked the conductors and spent much of those trips in the vestibules. (The good ol’ days.) I remember the heat working well in the summer and the a/c doing a good job in the winter. Rainy days were my first exposure to indoor pools. Once I experienced European train travel I was, and remain, hooked. Other than that, my favourite rail thing of all time is the GG-1. I look forward to learning a lot here.
