Planning to do a short "joyride" on Acela Express this Sunday from Boston to Providence by Business Class. How many AGR points will that earn? Ticket is $34, so 100 points? I have enrolled in the Fall double points promotion, so 200? Ok I can use my Chase AGR card to book the ticket so 68 points from there= 268? Anything more? Does Acela earn any additional AGR points than other trains?

Also, now with the new e-ticket thing, what exactly is the refunds policy on Acela? If I book now and last minute decide to cancel, how much money do I lose?

It will be my first time on Acela. Do Business Class people get any refreshments? I know 34 minutes is too short for anything, but doesn't hurt asking.

That's it -- 200 points plus the Chase bonus. BOS-PVD is not a special city pair for higher AGR point accrual.

Acela Business Class is equivalent to coach, so no, free refreshments are not included.

Another plea for "Business Class" to be branded and executed as a single policy & product.

What is the cheapest city pair for bonus points?

BOS to STM low bucket is $103. BOS to NYP is $107.

I Plan on next Thursday and Friday doing a "mega points run" Starting with a run PHL-PAO RT, then PHL-HAR round trip, PHL-BOS on 66 BC and 2173 currently BC hoping to get to FC on a coupon. As I have this promotion. Since the fall promotion doesn't work as listed in the Terms and Conditions of the promo. I'm hoping to get 3,000 points including my select bonus. In 2 days.

Acela150, you might end up short. You appear to have five segments booked for Thursday. An arbitrary three of them won't get doubled, and a fifth will not earn the 100 point minimum. Worst case, one of your Keystone runs fails to earn 100, and your ride on 66 doesn't get doubled.

The Acela ride for Friday should be all good. As you have only one segment that day, you could safely add one more. I would have booked the Acela as a through (connecting) fare BOS-NYP-PHL if adjacent trains were in low bucket. And the F upgrade would get you lounge access in all three cities.
