how soon before a trip do you have to use an award?

For instance I know in order to get most discounts you need to book 3 days in advance, but I was wondering if there was any sort of restriction on AGR points trips, or if I could literally book it the night before (assuming there's room)

I've booked literally 30 minutes before departure.

Well that is good to know, seeing as you can avoid the high bucket prices that sometimes accompany the LD trains when you're getting close to your departure date (as long as there's actually a seat available lol)

You can book anywhere from 11 months in advance to day of departure.
