How to book family bedroom TPA-DEN with AGR?

I would like to book a family bedroom for TPA-DEN trip using AGR (it should be 30000 points).

The problem is that there is no family bedroom on Silver Meteor train.

We are 2 adults and 1 child so regular bedroom is Ok for us.

But how to make it a single reservation so that we get a regular bedroom on TPA-WAS trip,

but FAMILY bedroom on WAS-CHI and CHI-DEN trains?

I believe you must call AGR to book a sleeper reservation.

It appears reasonable to me that in a train without a family bedroom, your option would be a regular bedroom.

Have you called AGR to ask this? I would think they could do this.

You would have to call AGR to reserve them. The point value/redemption rate for a bedroom and family room is the same. (Both 30,000 points for 2 zones.) However, a bedroom is rated for 2 while a family room is rated for 4. As you pointed out, there is no family room on the Meteor, so I don't know what would happen.
