I know a lot of us have complained that it was next to impossible to find out if a particular store was in AGR's "Points for Shopping" without scrolling thru each and every category, looking for a particular store.

(The_Traveler even posted a link, with a list of stores......_

Yesterday, I was buying some backpacking equipment, and before I hit "SUBMIT" decided to check AGR's "Points for Shopping" portal, and to my surprise, saw that they had a "SEARCH" button. Anyone know how long that's been there?

I think that those catergories have been there. It's within Points for Shopping that's a pain to find what you're looking for.

RRDude, I think that it is new! I didn't notice it last month when I ordered some stuff. I'm glad they finally put a search function in there! I tested it with a couple of places and it did not show both, but when you go to each category now I noticed there is an alphabetic link at the top. That worked. I don't remember that being there...Yay Amtrak. Great improvement!

I just noticed it also has a 'sort by value' function in each category. It lists the companies by point values!

I think you're talking about the box right below "Points for Shopping" on the top left, correct Jerry?

AFAIK, I have never seen that before!

And a few test retailers (like Apple, Sears and Best Buy) brought me right to their connection page, so that is great. But (not giving myself credit

), there are many small retailers that you would not think are on AGR, so my list may still be helpful!

Thanks for pointing out about the search box below the links...I didn't even notice that after I went to check out what Sunchaser pointed out.

Now, if they would add a "return to top" ... (never satisfied, are we? :D )

You can usually hit CTRL+HOME to return to the top. I tried it in Internet Explorer and Chrome without a problem. My current portable installation of Firefox didn't seem to be responding to it, but I'm pretty sure it worked in the past. Also works with many other programs as well.

Edit to add: OOPS Didnt mean to add the above to my reply. If you are talking about that box on the left side of the page, that function has been there quite awhile. When you click on the "earn" from the homepage it shows up. It still doesn't give individual retailers but it does give catagories. That's where I discovered that Priceline was an AGR partner and I've been scoring points ever since :D

What we are talking about is a fill in box on the left below "Retail" where if you enter "Sears" (for example), it will take you right to the Sears page! Or if you enter "Office Depot", it will take you right to the Office Depot page. AFAIK, that function was never there before!
