We were just there today! GORGEOUS! We will be back on next Sunday morning. Glad someone posted pics. I took one, but it was on my phone.

It looks a lot better than the old one- higher ceiling! Interesting seating- your choice of seat- wood or contemporary.
It's recognizably the same station, same clock, same lower wall details, but incredibly improved. Seattle DOT, WashDOT restored it after GN ruined the interior in their 1960s era remodel.

I haven't been in it since they started the remodel (I kind of avoided it during the work). It looks like a whole different place though, without the drop ceiling, florescent lights and generally dim and dingy interior. I do miss the neon "Electric Stairs to Jackson St." sign, though.

To be more precise, the GN did not ruin the interior. As I understand it, in the 1960's renovation, GN was responsible for replacing the platforms and canopies and NP did the interior.
