Loop around British Columbia and Jasper August 2024

Not sure this trip will include enough trains to qualify for posting, but we’ll see.

My wife and I will fly to Vancouver BC in August and then loop around BC and Jasper AB by a combo of means incl airport shuttle, bus, ferry to Swartz Bay, bus to Victoria, four bus rides in series from Victoria to Port Hardy, BC Ferry through the inland passage to Prince Rupert, Viarail Skeena to Jasper, Viarail Canadian back to Vancouver, and Delta back home.

Nice trip, my old stomping grounds when I lived in Vancouver,!( there were more Trains then, including BC Rail to Whistler and from Victoria to Courtmey on Vancouver Island)

I was just thinking about the few routes he was missing! I had always wanted to do the north-south BC Rail when it actually ran further than Whistler.

I would think one decent train is enough to qualify, especially if it is one you rarely hear about like the Skeena.
