In 2008 on the Holiday Express steam powered excursion in Portland Oregon (SP4449) a young man proposed... In 2009 they were married in the former SP round end observation car.

Maybe trains are making a cultural comeback.

While it might be nicer, you don't need a private car to hold a wedding ceremony on the train. I've seen people get married in the Sightseer Lounge on a regular Amtrak run. Even got free champagne out of it.
