MTA Creates First Regional Transit Diagram for Super Bowl XLVIII

superbowl_graphic.jpg

It’s being called the first “Mass Transit Super Bowl,” and this week, the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee revealed extensive public transportation plans for Super Bowl XLVIII, detailing how the region’s mass transit systems, including the MTA, will serve as a critical resource to support the movement of the hundreds of thousands of expected visitors to the area....

For the big event, working closely with the Host Committee as well as NJ Transit, Amtrak, and NY Waterways, the MTA has designed a Regional Transit Diagram. It’s the first ever regional transportation map.

It certainly will be interesting to see how this works out. Especially since this is the first outside Super Bowl to be played.

And if there's a Nor'Easter with 3 feet of snow, temps in the teens and winds of 40 MPH, "interesting" is not the word!

Hopefully this Years Ice Bowl will have Better Weather than the One @ Jerry World (now AT&T Stadium)Fiasco in Arlington! There was No Public Transportation to the Stadium and Jethro Jones Charged $250 for Folks to Stand in the Parking Lot Freezing Cold and Sleet to Watch the Game on Giant screen TVs while Eating and drinking $25 Pizzas and $15 Drinks! This was "The Affordable Ticket!" (And Parking was ONLY $40!!!)

Of course the NFL Types, Corporate Fat Cats and Celebs will be Sheltered in VIP Suites, travel via Limo or Helicopter and the Players and the Peasants, er Regular Suckers, er fans can Freeze out in the Elements!

Whoever Thought up this One COULD Sell Refrigerators to Eskimos, as PT Barnum said: ":There's A Sucker Born Every Minute!"

Bold Prediction: Seahawks 24 Broncos 17 (But Don't Bet the House! )

You're wrong! NE Patriots win 36-35 after being down at halftime! :D
Are they going to let "the Boston Thug" out of Jail to Play Tight End? Brady's Great but with No Receivers and that Defense, Payton Manning will Probably Hang Up 50 on the Pats when they play for the AFC in Denver!!! :p
