NB CS 14 (2) now

NB on CS 14(2) left Santa Barbara about 30 min ago. Sleeper "Arizona" 1431 #32071 (unrefurbished), sleeper 1430 #32050 (refurbed) and Parlour Car #39972. We have extra cars along, conductor mentioned 15 cars and maybe a PV, which required a double stop in Santa Barbara. We still blocked State street.

Usual cheesburger for lunch was great and sugar free cheescake with pear compote was wonderful.

Using Verizon Access Point modem which allows 5 simultaneous users to connect to web.

Weather is fabulous and OBS personnel are fantastic, friendly and helpful!

Walked the train at SLO. The mystery cars are a baggage car, dinette, dome #10031 and two coaches. OBS says they will be used for the snow train so we'll be dropping them off tonight.

Great steak dinner with scrumptious berry cake. Dining crew has a laptop set up to display GPS location/speed on Microsoft Streets/Trips.
