I was ticketed on 171 last Tuesday returning home to CVS from nyp. In the morning I discovered the cancellation of everything arriving from North because of the fire, but my train was scheduled to depart at the scheduled time. To surprise it did. I wonder where they found the consist? The train was much less crowded than normal and remained so the whole trip. Shortly the train was further delayed due to overhead wires behind down south of phl. I arrived home an hour and a half later than expected which I thought was a good outcome. Today I get an email saying I'm getting 250 pts added to my account by way of apology.
I have to say the on-board crews were not good. For one thing they kept all the doors between cars open all the time. It was in the 40s outside so I felt cold the whole 8 hours. Many unnecessary repeated announcements that were not clearly stated and meaningful to anyone who didn't already know
