In coach, are all seats facing the same direction, or are there some seats facing each other with a table in between them?

Can't bring your own alcohol, right? Are there tables in the cafe car? There are 4 of us taking the train down and will probably play a little cards to kill the time, and having a couple of pops while playing cards if we can.

Is there a limited selection of drinks served in the cafe car, or is it a full bar? Outrageous prices, or somewhere in between corner bar and sports arena?

Thanks in advance...

In coach the seats can be facing either foreward or reverse in no set pattern. I have never seen a table between seats facing each other in coach, not much leg room when they are facing this way either.

You can't bring alcohol on the train, except when you are traveling in a sleeper, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. There are tables in the cafe car, depending on what train you are on, some have more tables than others.

The drink prices are 2.00 for Pepsi products (no coke, darnit), 4.50 for beer (Bud and Miller products), 5.50 for premium beers, and 5.50 for a glass of wine. About average l'd say.

It's not a full bar by any shape of the imagination. They do have some hard liquors, but they are the small airline style of bottles.

There are some groups of four seats that face each other, but no tables. There are tables in the cafe car, which you might be able to use (though you would probably want to patronize the cafe in that case as that is the purpose of those tables).

The coach seats don't usually face each other and there are not tables in the coaches either. Playing cards in the cafe car would be your best bet. Drinks are as Greg stated above. Not really a full bar, but beer and liquors are available.
