New station in the works for MI

What currently is a bus shelter type station will be turned into a big station along the CHI-PNT route(if the plans keep going down the right road).

they will fall thru were talking about Michigan i have delt with the Amtrak issues in Michigan for over 4 years and all the ideas fall thru the cracks just like the East Lansing train station.

Oh, it will probably happen- just in time for Amtrak to drop Michigan from its itinerary! Seems like every year we hear that Michigan is being dropped.....

This is how i will put it if the State says they will help pay for it i just wouldn't count on it.

That was the same thing said for the new East Lansing train and bus station they went all the way thru with the blueprints put it in the newspaper and boom 2 weeks later it is not going to happen due to funding.

And the East Lansing station sees at least 75-100 passengers just for Amtrak and then add about 40-80 more for the Bus passengers and the station right now has seating for about 25-30 passengers.
