NYC Transit in conjunction with the NYC Transit Musuem is once again this year running vintage trains in revenue service on Sunday's during December, more details can be found here.
So I accidentally on purpose set out from my home around 2:30 to catch the final runs of the day. I took my faithful #7 one stop north to 74th Street and then transferred to an E express to Queens Plaza. There I awaited the arrival on the Nostalgia train. In fact, I could see it sitting on a layup track in the tunnel just east of the Plaza as the E was arriving into Queens Plaza.
I'll try to work on getting up a couple of video's later after chat, or tomorrow. But in the meantime here are some photos from the train, including some of the original ads that would have been found in these cars in their heyday.
