Odd Email from AGR

Bright and early this morning I got an email from AGR welcoming me to Select+ Status for 2015! Of course I am already a 2015 Select+ and I have not collected enough points to become a 2016 Select+ yet. So I was left scratching my head.

I wondered if by mistake I had received additional coupons too, but alas not. just this stray email. Anyone else been treated to this head scratcher?

I haven't received that one but I do get other puzzling ones. For instance, emails congratulating me for signing up for Double Days months after I have done so. Then another email urging me to sign up for DD since time is running out.

Over a month ago I got an email with updated receipt and e ticket for a Capitol Corridor trip I booked in January SJO to EMY. The scheduled time has been changed from 3:40 PM to 4:10 PM. I downloaded the e-ticket and update my Iphone "Wallet" with the updated eticket. Just this week I got two emails from Amtrak and AGR informing of the time change, etc. At first, I thought there had been a new time but when I checked these emails were announcing the new time 4:10 PM which I had already obtained updated e-tickets three weeks before these emails. I am not sure but I think the reason for my receiving the late emails may be connected to the recent crash of Amtrak.com when it was off line for a couple days.

I got this too. Then it was retracted. I was inadvertently given tier points for the 20000 point bonus on the world card for hitting the minimum spend. Then select plus was backed off until I just hit it again on my own from my current trip.

The mystery is I was not given any tier points and I was congratulated for reaching Select+ for 2015, not 2016. I am already Select+ for 2015 for which I qualified in October 2014!
