Very nice and informative article on the history of these unique treasures which I enjoyed on the El Capitan in 1968 and as Pacific Parlour Cars in 2013 and 2017. Amtrak MAY decide to attempt to replicate some features of the PPC on the Coast Starlight, but they cannot replicate the history and many passenger’s memories of these beauties.
