Can anyone tell me what the parking situation is at the station in Kansas City?

I'll be departing from there and gone about a week. Is there long term parking available and is there a cost?

Thanks.

Parking is available for Amtrak patrons in the parking garage for $10 a day.

If you're cheap and a little brave, you may want to consider the Crown Center. I've parked there several times recently, including for a week a couple months ago. Not paying $70 was worthwhile for me. Even if I was towed, the cost couldn't be much more than what I'd pay for parking at Union Station.

If you're retrieving your car on a weekend you don't pay for parking. It's a couple blocks from Union Station and connected with an indoor walkway. I've been assured by some KC residents that lots of folks park there for long term.
