That looks really awesome.
My friend and I are going to do this in mid May. I'm slowly working her up to a long distance train ride. 
Figure after this she'll be enamored with riding a train that she doesn't have to provide motive power for.
I told her we should ride our scenic railroad - Wilmington & Western next and then do a day trip on Amtrak.
