Are you asking for imfo about a physical examination for employment by Amtrak? We are not owned, operated, or affiliated by/with Amtrak. I am not an Amtrak employee, and most others here are not, either.

Depending on the position you are applying for, they may be interested in hearing, eyesight/colorblindness, etc. Otherwise, not much other than drug screen as you previously mentioned...

For conductor, I remember them doing an EKG. That was about 8 years ago.

I haven't taken one recently, but they are interested mainly to see that you are in good health in general, and fit for whatever job you happen to be applying for. They want to be sure that your vision and hearing are good, that you suffer from no physical disabilities that would interfere with the safe performance of the duties required. For example, no chronic back problems that would limit your ability to do certain lifting, or handle manual track switches, etc...
