I noticed the CS 14 had a substitute for the parlor car today. I am still figuring out the equipment and I see this diner has one less window. Is it a regular diner or something close? I never had traveled CS with a substitute PPC and I was curious. Thank you in advanced.

That looks like a Cross Country Cafe.

It is a half diner and half lounge. These are frequently the substitute for a PPC when those are Bad Ordered. I had one last year on my trip down from SEA on the coast Starlight. While they are no where near as comfortable or the atmosphere of the PPC they are still quieter than the regular Sightseer Lounge.
