Train got to SAV on time. Very busy for a train I got low bucket on less than a week ago. I'd guess about 100 off and 100 on.

It's 6:56. Not bad. 6 minutes late in departing.

7:31: Someone thinks everyone in this coach wants to listen to hip hop. On their speakers. Doh! Must've had a taking to. Live show is over. Though I can still hear his headphones from 4 rows away...

Got a late departure out of Jesup. Lots of people there. Probably sat there for about 10 minutes. Out of potable water in the first coach. Toilets on 2nd have almost filled the holding tanks.

Good morning, Folkston! Passed you at 8:46 this morning.

Got into JAX just a couple minutes early. Sitting. Waiting.

10:22: Left JAX on time. Asked when diner would open for lunch. He said the LSA would come around for reservations. What?! Reservations for LUNCH? :(

10:58: Just found out they don't start lunch until 11:45. That kinda sucks for folks destined to Orlando.

A couple of employee lounge lizards on the diner side of the cafe. Taking up at least two tables. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the crew room in the cafe car...

...

A few years back, I rented the Rail Masters Lodge in Folkston,Ga (Folkston Funnel). for 3 or 4 days. It was a couple of weeks after I had taken my 1st long distance trip ( STP-WAS-CHI-SEA-CHI-WAS-STP) and I was fired up on train travel!!! (nothing has deminished) I really enjoyed the lodge as well as the Rail Fan Platform, not to mention all the Rail Fans!!! I counted 65 trains per day. That really made me aware of all the Graffitti painted on Freight Trains, some were pretty good! I may have to go back! :D

BTW - I went RT from STP to JAX & the lodge owners parents transported me to & from! Heck, they even provided me with a golf cart to scoot around town, with police permission!!! :hi:

I think they've changed hands recently. Don't know how the new owners are. They seem pretty corporate... :(

Anyway, got to Orlando smack on time. Nothing exciting to report. Lunch in the diner was nice.
