Hello all!

I'm scheduled to travel Amtrak out of SNB very soon, and had been planning to leave the car there during my trip. But now I'm googling the station and everyone seems to keep saying DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE (in all caps). Any advice on this from locals or regular travelers? Is the station as bad as it clearly used to be? Should I be calling Amtrak to try and get on a few stops earlier?

Thanks for any input or for sharing your experience.

Since Riverside is also unstaffed and also has a poor reputation as far as long term parking is concerned, I'd consider either boarding @ Fullerton ( FUL)or LAX, both of which are staffed and have long term parking!

( this is assuming you're catching the Southwest Chief heading East. If you are catching Metrolink into LAX, consider just getting a ride to the SNB and taking Light Rail to FUL or LAX! IINM these are directional trains based on commuter rush hours, you'd have to check the schedules)
