Seattle pre-gathering report part 1

Stayed up most of the night waiting for guns N roses to take the stage at the Rock In Rio festival that was streaming live over the internet. They finally took the stage at 1:48Am and played till 3:48AM or so. The show was good but guitarist bumblefoot sucks at the solos.Tried to get some sleep around 5:20AM and got up around 8:09AM. Called a cab around 8:50AM and he showed up around 9:25AM. got the train station at 9:40 and the train comes at 11:02AM Had some red had ladies going to Ann Arbor at the station.they were a good bunch. One was trying to get the other to lay down on the tracks so she could take her picture.

the train arrived around 11:05AM.The conductors of 353 had a field day with the red hat ladies. One conductor said Uh oh I see trouble down there LOL. the other goes yeah it´s already starting over here LOL.Once the cafe car opened i got a pizza and a diet Pepsi then popped in a Alice cooper DVD. After the movie I went and got a turkey and Swiss sandwich and a diet Pepsi. Pulled into Chicago at 5:05PM took me hour to find the hotel as the gps kept turning me around like it forgot what street it was on.But im at the Howard Johnson on lasell street. Hope to meet up with Bettie at the metro lounge doors at noon Tuesday so I can john the party LOL.

And in the meantime, I'm on my way out to warn them So far, 7 has been on time or early at all stops (unlike 300 this morning, ugh) ... And "about ten till La Crosse" has just been announced.

And I'm beginning to go nuts, knowing so many are on their way and/or have met up with others, while I still have over two days before I board #7 early Thursday. :blink:

:wacko: Oh well, I can take the edge off that nuttiness beginning tomorrow, as I begin to check on the #7 leaving from Chicago. I'll know ahead of time what kind of mood amtrakwolverine, Everydaymatters, and the rest of the gang is in when I board the EB in Spokane on Thursday. :lol:

I think with all the buildings, our phone/google map was acting up, and I gave up on it, and went with the regular map, and do it like the old days.
