The Center for New York City Affairs at The New School is holding a seminar on The Politics of Development: Moynihan Station and the Complexity of Major Public Projects. Feel free to register for it and attend it and report on what transpired there.

Unfortunately I will be out of town the day of the seminar, otherwise I'd go myself.

In summery:

Upcoming event, Weds, Nov 17: The Politics of Development - Moynihan Station & the Complexity of Major Public Projects.

Wednesday, November 17, 6 pm to 8 pm, The New School, Center for New York City Affairs, Theresa Lang Community & Student Center, Arnhold Hall, 55 West 13th Street (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues), 2nd Floor.

Attendance is free, but you must RSVP for a seat reservation!

Jis;

Not to over shadow your kind hearted invite but what do you think of this project becoming a reality in our lifetime? I've often wondered how the P.O. next to the D.C. station has escaped the developers grasp...

Actually Moynihan Phase I is currently fully funded, and Phase II is well on its way to be fully funded. So at least something will come out of this in our lifetime I think.
