Over the weekend Septa got caught up in some serious staff shortages. This is actually a common problem and has been going on for years. it just hit a head this past weekend according to the article. Gotta thank my 28 YO Brother who know nadda, zip, zilch about trains and Septa. He calls the bus that runs by his house "The Fairmount Bus" Referring to the neighborhood he lives in.

That's funny.. Last night it was the old SL II's.

Ha, and now the photo is of a Silverliner V. So it's the right service again.

To the issue raised in the article...obviously SEPTA needs to take corrective action, though I'd note

that 8 canceled regional rail trains on a Saturday really isn't the end of the world. Obviously I'd feel

differently if I was planning to ride one of those trains. But the bigger issue to me is the amount of OT

worked by the train crews. Are they awake/alert enough?

They should be; Federal hours of service laws exist for a reason.
