Hmmm....wonder if that will interfere with the delivery of new Meyer-Werft cruiseships from Papenburg.....?

Apparently the foundations of the pillars have been knocked so hard they have relocated and the whole bridge has to be rebuilt.

A couple of years ago a freighter took out the railroad bridge spanning the Limfjord in Aalborg, Denmark, in a similar accident, cutting the rail link to the northern part of the country for more than a year - and that was just renewing the movable span as the pillers were undamaged...
