Question: I know NYP, CHI, BOS, PDX, WAS and PHL are the ones that has lounge available for sleepers. I know Miami and Raleigh used have one, did that discontinued?

Please correct me if there are other locations that I don't know.

Thanks

Los Angeles and New Orleans have lounges. Don't think Miami and Raleigh have them.

Raleigh had one in the old station, I visited it when I had Select+ Status when I was waiting on a Peidmont Train that was running about an hour late (some issue in the train yard). It reminded me of the small lounge in St. Louis.

Maimi I think had something to do with the planned (but never actually happened) moving of the station to the MIA Airport Intermodal Station.

I assume it goes back to cost but when Raleigh moved to the new station the area was dropped. The new station has room for a few commercial stores. I see no reason there would not be room to have a nice little area but I think the cost is the upkeep and janitor. The last time I was at the Raleigh station none of the storefronts were being used so one could be converted to an Amtrak lounge in theory.

I used to take school field trips to Raleigh and on the last trip the door to the lounge was open so I walked in. The entire station was small for what Raleigh needed and the lounge even smaller, though if the lounge was not often used the space was adequate. I remember a few chairs and an end-table or two. I went in to grab the newspaper to read and I guess someone left the door open and it was never checked.
