Yesterday I took a little train riding excursion. I rode the Trinity Railway Express from Fort Worth to Dallas and the TE back to Fort Worth.

The TE arrived in Dallas a little and when it got there it had a surprise. It was being pulled by an Union Pacific locomotive with the P42DC behind it.

But that's not all that happened. In Arlington the TE stopped for an ambulance to arrive to take a passenger off. He was in the last car so I didn't see what the problem was.

Finally in Fort Worth 6 private cars of Green Bay Packers fans were attached. Now south would seem to be the wrong direction for them but they were going to Houston.

I have some video of it I will post later.

Maybe those happy Cheeseheads weren't quite ready to leave the frozen tundra of N Texas for the seriously frozen tundra of GB!

Shoot . . . the Packers whipped that A@@@@!!! Though I am always a Bears fan, I got to give that team their due. They;ll be back. And the defense should have been in the private cars too. They deserve the scenic route back to GB.

Here's my video

Thanks for sharing! Did you ever find out why the UP engine was pulling the train? If there was a problem with the AMTK engine, I wouldn't think they'd be fueling it (in Ft. Worth).

Unless... perhaps is could provide HEP but not drive motor power?

:hi: Nice video Stan! Wonder if the fan became ill in Arlington cause they saw what Jerry Jones was charging at Jerry World for all the suckers, er fans there! Nice catch on the PVs also, bet there was some adult beverages consumed in those cars for sure! Roll Pack! We all know that the Eagle probably should have two engines since it runs through the hills of Arkansas and Missouri at night, I always wish it had two every trip I take! :help: Jim

Maybe they needed an extra engine because they were pulling 13 railcars.

The person who organized the private cars is a friend of the Green Bay general manager.
