DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- It could be mid-morning on Wednesday before crews are able to clear out 36 trailers and 11 Norfolk Southerm Railroad cars that derailed early Tuesday morning, forcing the closure of Bankhead Highway in downtown Douglasville.

"It's just a miracle that we didn't get someone hurt," said Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack. "God was looking after us. As serious as this is with so much damage and no injuries to report, that's a blessing."

The trailers were full of cargo, including new flat-screen televisions, diapers and building supplies.

Woah, flat screen TVs?
And diapers. If someone had been near the tracks, they could have come in handy... for mopping up any spilled deisel, of course!
