One of the great things about the Chase Sapphire Preferred program was the ability to transfer points to AGR, or, if you wished, use them for other purposes.

Now that that program is dead as of 12/6/15 (R.I.P.) is there any other program that allows you to transfer points to AGR, while maintaining that kind of flexibility? I guess the Capital One program qualifies, but it's different in the sense that you buy your fare and get reimbursed, dollar for point.

For someone like me, that might be a good option: if the AGR BoA card is linked to the fare, it's basically the same as the Cap One program (also fare-based, essentially). However, with the Cap One, I have more flexibility with regards to hotel, car rental, etc. Seems with BoA, I'm chained to AGR.

(George: who's trying to figure out the most bang for the buck, while keeping flexibility)
