Seemed to have an escort and it still managed to get stuck. Hope someone is charged with manslaughter considering how preventable this was.

Sue the trucking company, driver, escort, all trucking management involved in decisions and training department personnel individually. Guess we will have to learn what innocent persons killed and injured? It will be especially bad if any were in the building,

The gate was down, sitting on top of the cargo (conduit or something like that?), and the lights were flashing so the truck had to have entered on to the tracks after the lights went on. Transporting an oversized load would/should require a driver of more than average experience, as well as the escort driver. One or both of these had to be a very special kind of idiot. I would be interested to hear of any mitigating circumstances but on the surface this looks totally inexcusable. So sad for the families.

I've heard, not sure if it's confirmed, that the truck had been stuck there for approximately an hour prior to being struck, which is infuriating.

To make matters worse, I believe both the engineer and conductor have passed. Infuriating is putting it lightly
