Complete newbie here. Been searching around but can't seem to find any way of purchasing one of the USA Passes with points. Is that because it's not possible or is it because I just haven't searched long enough? Thanks for any help and patience.
 
Number 1 it's not possible, and number 2 why would you want to? :huh: The pass is only for coach, so you would still have to pay to upgrade to a room if you wanted one. You can redeem for a room award. And if you wanted coach, you can redeem for a coach award.

Not sure what you mean by "why would you want to?" Why does anyone redeem points for anything? To save some cash.

Anyway, I was thinking the out-of-pocket cash cost for 8 individuals legs getting around the country would be far more expensive than the cost of an 8-segment USA Pass. Figured the points needed to redeem for each scenario would also reflect that. But either way I guess the point is moot since you can't get the Pass with points anyway. Any reason why they wouldn't have a point-redemption option for these passes?
