What zone is Toledo in?

I live near Toledo and when I get enough points I want to do the 1 zone thing, but I can't tell which zone I am in.

It is the border. So it's in East or Central depending on the direction of your trip. So NYC, Miami, Denver, and El Paso are all one zone away.

So I can take a Trip to Denver, or go the other way to NYC and it both counts as one zone?

If you're headed westbound, it's in the central zone. If you're headed east, it's in the eastern zone.

After riding the Cap Ltd or Lake Shore from TOL to CHI, you can also go to Albuqurque on the SWC, to New Orleans on the CONO and to Wolf Point. MT. on the Empire Builder,all One Zone Awards!

Toledo is about a six hour drive from us in NE Pennsylvania. Next week we are heading to LAX on The Capitol Limited and Texas Eagle and heading back on The Coast Starlight,Empire Builder and Lake Shore Limited, beginning and ending in Toledo using 40,000 points for a two zone roomette each way. Our nearest station is Lewistown,Pa, but adding another zone each way would have been a waste of points for that short difference. Coach round trip from Lewistown to Toledo would have been over $200. It's just more economical to drive to Toledo and begin our trip there.

If benale wanted to park in Cleveland, they could go to Toledo for $22 per person on either the LSL or the CL early in the morning.
