I should make the Select level this year, (although I missed it by around 300 points last year). When does 'this' year end for AGR accounting? I have some degree of flexibility in my travel plans. My goal is to time my bigger trips so that the points will go towards next year's 'Select' and not continue towards 'Select Plus' this year which I will not make. If that makes any sense.

The "year" for earning status ends on December 31st.
If you do indeed earn status this year, that would end on Feb 28th 2011. Technically you'll get the remaining months of this year through Feb 28th 2010, plus all of the next AGR status year from March 1st 2010 through Feb 28th 2011.
