I got this piece of luggage to take on my trip on the NORTHEAST CORRIDOR, but when it arrived I was surprised just how big it is (though I knew the dimensions, I didn't have the best mental image of them, I guess). I'm really hoping I can squeeze it into the overhead area as I'd hate to leave it in the corner area of the car, concerned that somebody might walk off with it during my entire (long) trip. What do you guys think? TIght squeeze, iffy at best, or no way, Jack? Thanks for any replies!

I think the 25" might be too long to fit like it would in an airplane but because the overheads on the regionals are all open I think you could rotate it and it would fit lengthwise. Maybe.

The overhead racks on a Regional are NOT enclosed like they are on a plane. It will easily fit!

As an example, I use either a walker or a walking stick depending on the trip. Both the 5 foot long stick and the 3-4 foot folded walker easily fit.
