Hello, so we're booked next month to Seattle. I spent 5 minutes during the booking process agonizing over the Mastercard. I elected not to. Now I'm having second thoughts. I see that there are special routes (one is mine) that seems to make more options for me.

We haven't traveled yet. Is it too late?

The MasterCard is currently not being offered to new applicants. We're all waiting to find out what's going to happen (new bank, Visa, etc).

When I was looking for a new credit card last year, I got the Choice Privileges card. I have earned a few free nights and a few AGR points.

If you do any online shopping, go through the AGR portal to a stite that gives more than 2 points per $ spent. My biggest transaction was a dryer and refrigerator from Sears.

Oh, yes. Drugstore.com gives 5 points per buck (currently it's a 7 as a promotion). Need toilet paper, shampoo, paper towels, deodorant? Spend $80 and get 500 points. PLUS the dollar a point on the credit card.

Remember that you DO NOT have to use the AGR MasterCard when shopping at the AGR portal (Shopping for Points)! You can use any credit card to pay and receive AGR points.
