I found it sitting on a siding in Kewanee, Il. I was out driving with my dad. It must have been set out for some reason.

My guess is from the Zephyr or the Chief because this was in Kewaunee.

Whoops. I obviously don't know my Illinois geography very well.

I know that in 2021 the EB dropped off an SLL in a small town for emergency training for the local FD. Perhaps this was a similar situation?

I did think about that also. I had not read any posts on any railfan forum that described a situation where a diner was set out.
