I'll add another gripe that probably has already been addressed. Boston's South Station has over 1.5 million annual passengers and no checked baggage. Minot, ND has an annual ridership of about 22,000 and has checked baggage. I realize that it's because no trains serving Boston have baggage...

The westbound EB is cancelled past Shelby MT due to "impending" weather conditions. The two #7 EBs already out are affected. I don't know about the the EB departing today from Seattle and the other eastbound is already east of Shelby.

Disregard previous. Amtrak is again offering the EB on the NYP-Portland trip.

While test booking NYP-Portland, I am not offered the LSL-EB for a late March trip. They are only offering the LSL-CZ-CS. If I switch the search to CHI-Portland I then get the EB. I'm already booked in late March with LSL-EB and am curious as to why they are not offering it now. I'm not...

Unfortunately, this hasn't been my experience when boarding LSL in Chicago for a 9:30PM departure. I've always had to wait for the attendant to set up the room. Perhaps most wouldn't want it made up that early.

Both Quebec and Montreal are great cities to visit. The train to Quebec from Montreal drops you off in the lower part of the old city, walking distance to lodging and dining. Many would consider Montreal one of the finest cities in North America.

Is there any difference between a electric bus, trackless trolley and a trolley bus? San Francisco's MUNI has perhaps 20 electric bus lines, as well as traditional trolleys(light rail), cable cars(not to be confused with trolleys), and diesel busses.

I've used the Amtrak bus to and from Emeryville-San Francisco about 20 times and it's far easier than BART. Almost a seamless connection.
