The turntable is buried*** under a parking lot and by my measurements - - -
would be dead center in this Google Map:

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.6388946,-63.567288,205m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu

It was located between the then covered boarding platforms and the building still standing
and marked Marine Thinking

*** maybe not so much as buried - but that is approximately where it was located - - -

Both VIA 14 & 15 showing 24+ hours late in N.S.
Sounds like the Canadian's usual time keeping!😱
Train 14’s departure this Friday was terminated due to a hydroelectric water damn break near Drummondville. The train returned to Montreal and was rescheduled for yesterday on the same schedule (i.e., 24 hours later than originally scheduled). Consequently, the departure of Train 15 had to be postponed by the same 24 hours from today to tomorrow:

Edit: Here a (French-language) newspaper article about the disruption of rail service between Montreal and Quebec City:

On October 5, 2023 I was on via Rail 14 out of Moncton and it was over four hours late into Halifax. 14 left Montreal on time, but ran into mudslides along the way - I never did find out where and what caused the mudslides.

By phone, I tried to negotiate some compensation for arriving so late. Nope. We did get a bowl of yummy chicken noodle soup and not too bad having cheese sandwich. Oh, and a pony size bottle of water.

I finally took my Ocean trip. It was fantastic. I was in an upper berth and it was both comfortable & private. I think berths are an ideal budget sleeping option, especially for solo travelers. An outlet & window would be nice though. The sleeping car was more comfortable than the Viewliner II I took a few years ago and the washrooms were bigger (it was weird that they were ***-specific despite being solo-occupancy). I liked the layout of the Renaissance service cars, but the was no Park car. Instead sleeping car passengers had a HEP coa h and a Renaissance coach as lounge cars. The food was incredible, it's amazing what proper preparation & presentation can do with catered food. Overall everything was better than Amtrak.
