These used to be available on the VIA website. Maybe they still are, but I can't find them. Also, PDFs of the snacks in the coach snack car do not appear to be available. I have read that it is possible to buy soda and alcohol in the sleeper class skyline cars. Does anyone have information on what snacks are available?

They haven't published the diner menus online for several years. They still serve a different menu each day, and they still offer Prime Rib for dinner coming into Winnipeg.

You can buy liquor in the Skylines as long as they are staffed. Don't know about sodas, don't drink soda. They de-staffed the Sleeper Plus Skyline in the off season for a few years, but last November and this November it's been staffed and running the full slate of activities. If it isn't staffed, you just go to the Park in the off season. They don't sell snacks, but have complimentary packs of cookies and fruit out to grab. This year they also had packs of some kind of Chex Mix kind of stuff out for savory snacks, too.

VIA's policy now is the Sleeper Plus passengers are not allowed to go into Economy (coach). Economy passengers haven't been allowed into the sleeper part of the train effectively forever, but now it goes both ways. I overheard someone asking about that last week when I was on the train and they responded that Sleeper Plus passengers have the whole train to enjoy, but Economy only had that one Skyline. So the Economy Skyline's snack/cafe services are not available to Sleeper Plus. Not to worry, though. They feed you well.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I am the world's pickiest eater. The last time I rode the Canadian, there were a few meal selections that were meh, and I vaguely remember purchasing snacks at the longer stops. I will stock up before leaving Toronto. LOL.
