Does anyone know if this is the exception or will this train be running this late most days. I will be going to Chicago next weekend and wonder if I should book a day early to make sure I am there Monday afternoon or early evening.

I have parked my car there for long weekend trips to Chicago. Never had a problem, but I drive a 12 year old minivan.

I have left my car in the parking lot three times in the past year with no problems. It's too bad that the beautifully restored Union Station can't be used as a real train station. It is a great museum.

Will there be any special activity to mark the first train back at Union Station?

Relax and enjoy the ride. I have made several long distance trips on my own and found the roomette very comfortable when I had it to myself.

Even after reading these posts I will be riding the EB this summer. I could do it either direction . Any thoughts of which would be the better way to go. I may make a couple days break in Glacier.

Made it to Glenwood Springs a few minutes early this afternoon. Settled into the Hotel Colorado for a few days of relaxing the back on the eastbound C Z. Ride through the mountains was spectacular. Not much snow but bright blue sky. Saw a few rafters but no " mooners" on the river.
